Captain Alyssa Healy was first when she tried to play the reverse sweep on a slightly flatter pitch, but completely missed the ball when it slammed into her pads. Mumbai had a loud whoop as the referee held up his finger. While Healy tried to review the decision, it was quite apparent that she was plumb in front of the stumps.
With the taste of a wicket, Saika Ishaque struck once more in the same over, this time it was Tahlia McGrath as she tried to come out of her crease and tackle the bowler but missed entirely as the keeper dislodged the bails.
With only a target of 160 runs to chase in the game, the Mumbai Indian women will be dancing their chances to their fourth straight tournament win.
