News18 CricketNext has reported that ICC sources have confirmed that the West Indies will be the sole host of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The reason for this decision is that the USA does not have a properly elected cricket body or a strong first-class structure, thus the country is considered unfit to host the World Cup.

“For jointly organized World Cups, we often engage the Full Member (FM) as the host who is fully responsible for the delivery of the Event. The FM would then have an organizing agreement with the relevant members to ensure the successful organization of World Cup matches in other countries. In this case, Cricket West Indies has been contracted to host the World Cup.”
“What I can’t understand is, why is the ICC so hell-bent on ‘developing’ a sport in a country that is the leading first world nation on the planet and can afford to fend for itself? According to the report, Ricky Skerritt played a significant role in promoting the US nomination as co-host of the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, he is expected to be replaced by Oman’s Pankaj Khimji on the nominations committee of the T20 World Cup. ICC.
