Under this new guideline, each state association will be responsible for appointing a strength and conditioning coach and building a sports medicine and science team. To ensure the selection of qualified individuals, candidates will undergo interviews conducted by a panel from the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

The BCCI secretary also shared an important update on the Indian women’s team. He said the team’s head coach will be appointed before their upcoming limited tour of Bangladesh in July. The tour will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is.

“The shortlist for the head coach of the women’s team is already done. The CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) will meet and decide accordingly. We may have a new head coach of the women’s team before the Bangladesh series,” Shah said.
