Smriti Mandhana spoke to the announcers after the game and expressed his disappointment with his recent performances and his inability to score runs at the top.

“In the last four games, it’s been happening. We started well and then we lose a bunch of wickets. I also take the blame. You need to get runs on the board for the bowlers to defend. Overs 7-15 we talk about getting 7-8 per over. It didn’t work today.
“We are trying to get a balanced team. Let’s see how it goes. I have tried to talk to all the players about it. We will have to keep doing it. The last week has been very hard for the team. A lot to reflect on, a lot to work on,” he said.
Smriti Mandhana and her team have now lost four straight games to every team in the tournament and another loss is likely to knock them out of the tournament.
