The inaugural season of the WPL saw the UP Warriorz hand Mumbai Indians Women their first loss of the season. UP Warriorz put in a remarkable performance as they restricted the formidable Mumbai Indians to a modest total of 127 runs in their first innings.
Deepti Sharma, one of the key players in the UP-W team, showed her excellent bowling skills by picking two crucial wickets. Additionally, Sophie Ecclestone was instrumental in containing the Mumbai Indians batsmen as she allowed just 15 runs in her four overs and took three wickets.
