Former South African captain and legendary batsman AB de Villiers chose Afghan player Rashid Khan as his best T20 player of all time. This came as a surprise as many fans expected him to name his former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates Chris Gayle or Virat Kohli.

Kohli is the all-time leading run scorer in T20I matches and also the leading run scorer in Indian Premier League history. Rashid Khan has the heart of a lion – AB de Villiers
South African veteran AB de Villiers believes that Rashid Khan is the greatest T20 player of all time due to his all-around skills and the heart of a lion. Villiers said that Rashid is a match winner with both bat and ball and is one of the best T20 players.
“My greatest T20 player of all time is none other than Rashid Khan. He throws with bat and ball. Match winner in both departments; he is a live wire in the field and has the heart of a lion. He always wants to win; he is very competitive and is right up there with one of the best players in T20. Not one of the best, the best.” ABD said.
Rashid Khan is a part of the Gujarat Titans team in the IPL and won the trophy last year. The former Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner is the only second player to complete 500 wickets in T20 cricket, behind only Dwayne Bravo who picked up 614 wickets. He has played a total of 381 T20 matches, picked up 511 wickets and scored 1893 runs with the bat in 222 innings.
