Because what I feel is what team combination Hardik Pandya wants in terms of Rashid Khan, you don’t need to tell him much. Just give him the ball and he will do the job,” he said in an interview with India Today.
“He knows where to put the field. You will tell Mohammed Shami and he can do the job for him. So if you have two guys who are real match winners in your five bowling combination, obviously as captain, that makes your job easier. Now Noor is also coming in.”
“So having a very good team has helped Hardik. Also, the fact that Ashish Nehra is present for almost every over has really helped Hardik, the leader. So it’s a combination, that’s what I see in hindsight. So having that kind of support system, the one Hardik had early in his career as captain, has really done wonders for him. And I really hope he goes from one position from here and it’s up.”
