We were way ahead of the game – Glenn Maxwell

Maxwell believes that if the Australians can hold out during the crucial moments of the game, they can compete with the Indians. Maxwell stated that they were still ahead of the Indians in the game before Day 3.

“It’s just a matter of hanging in there a little longer and I’m sure that will be the message, keep trying to keep up with India and control those key moments in the game. At the beginning of the third day [in Delhi] I thought we were way ahead of the game, and to be ahead of India at any stage of a test match there is a sign that we’re doing the right things, it’s just doing it for a little bit longer.” he said.

After the Test series, India will host three ODIs, with the first match kicking off in Mumbai on March 17. The remaining matches will be played in Visakhapatnam (March 19) and Chennai (March 22), respectively. After missing the Test series, the explosive batsman will be part of the limited overs squad.
