India will play Australia in the third test match in Indore from today (Match 1). Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper won the toss and opted to bat first. India leads the test series 2-0 with two matches still to play. A win in the third Test would give India a win in the home series against Australia and all but guarantee them a place in the end of the world trade center. Meanwhile. KL Rahul is not part of the playing XI in the third Test for India.
Both India and Australia have made two changes to their playing XI for this Test match. Australia have brought in Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green in place of Pat Cummins and David Warner. Steve Smith leads Australia in this Test match as Cummins returns home to see his mother sick of him.

Meanwhile, for India, Shubman Gill and Umesh Yadav have replaced KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami respectively. While Rahul was dropped after a series of poor batting performances, Rohit Sharma mentioned that Mohammed Shami was rested in the second Test and Umesh replaced him in the XI.
The three Indian leaders once again have the key to the local team in this Test match. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have already taken 31 wickets in the series so far. Mohammed Shami took seven wickets in the first two Tests before being rested for the third.

“We will have a bat first. It’s a pretty good locker room and, as you say, morale is high. The guys are confident in their abilities, which is good to move forward. We’ve played a lot of cricket (here) but this (surface) is slightly different. It seems a bit dry and you have to adapt your skills and be in it all the time. We are not there yet (WTC final) and we have to come and win this game, we have to try to repeat the things we did in the first two events. It is important to be present. We have made two changes: Gill takes the place of KL. We have rested Shami and Umesh enters” Rohit said at the draw.
