He scored 186 of 364 balls and had reached just five limits when he reached his century and had even gone an entire session without scoring a single four. He also recalled his playing days alongside Sachin Tendulkar and how he used to take all the pressure and score runs for India in tough situations against any opponent and in any condition.
“In India, when you become as big a player as Virat Kohli, people have very high expectations. When he played and used to bat with Sachin Tendulkar, he would see the same thing. Everyone wants me to score a century, score runs. And this happens because he has set a standard. He has scored centuries so regularly that people don’t realize how difficult it is to score a hundred. And then obviously the pressure builds.” Dravid told the announcers at the end of IIndia vs Australia 2023 Test Series.
