Indian Cricket Team recorded a narrow victory over Australia in the 1st ODI. The Men in Blue won the match by 5 wickets, but at one point the hosts were in a dangerous position at 83-5. Raul KL he played a tremendous 75 run stroke in 91 balls where he hit 7 fours and 1 six.
Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul were involved in a 108-race winning partnership. The duo seemed to be in complete control and didn’t panic even after playing a series of point balls. Captain Steve Smith would lament his performance on the field where they made catches where Smith’s tactics were a little questionable as he gave batters easy runs.

Captain Hardik Pandya would be delighted for the team to show a never dying attitude. The decision to have Ravindra Jadeja bat at No.7 turned out to be decisive. It seems unlikely that Jaydev Unadkat will get a game as it was a near perfect performance from the bowling unit.
Australia could consider including Ashton Agar in game 11 in the second ODI scheduled for March 19 (Sunday). Ashton Agar can provide variation to the bowling attack while also being a useful batsman. Australians would be aware of the fact that last time out in 2020 in India, the Men in Blue had defeated Australia in the ODI Series 2-1.

I just tried to play normal cricket shots- KL Rahul
KL Rahul was seen interacting with the commentary panel after the end of the match and was asked about strategy after losing wickets in quick succession.
“I saw three wickets drop early, Starc was swinging the ball well and when he brings the ball back he is a dangerous bowler. I just tried to play normal cricket shots. I have some distance limits and that calmed my nerves. I hit with Shubman, Hardik and Jadeja. There was talk of there being help at the wicket, but we didn’t want to get into our shell and play a certain bowler.” I have kl raúl
It was fun batting with Ravindra Jadeja- KL Rahul
“We wanted to be positive and save the loose balls. If we’re good with no footwork, we could do well and it was fun to hit with Jadeja. By the time the lefty came on, I had a few loose balls. That happens to the best of bowlers. Lefty coming in and that worked for us. Jaddu batted beautifully and runs hard between wickets. He is in great shape and he knows what to do in those situations.” he claimed.
I like to maintain the grounds- KL Rahul
“When we started, I didn’t think the pitch would help bowlers that much. Once Shami returned for his second spell, he did wonders. Any team that wants to win needs to pick wickets in the middle of the overs. When there is rebound, I like to hold wickets. It’s a bit challenging when it’s slow and low, it’s a physical challenge. The ball moved and I enjoy playing here at Wankhede.” added.
