It is very rare that we both go at the same time – Travis Head
Speaking on Star Sports after the match, Travis Head said it’s great to have a fellow flyweight like Mitchell Marsh at the other end.
“Delighted to contribute, very good to start an association. We were kind of settled in today and we took our time. The last game, I went hard early to push the envelope. It’s nice to have the big guy on the other end when he hits them at the top level,” Travis Head said.
“We were hoping that one of us would get away. It’s very rare that we both go at the same time. Throughout my experience leading off hitting, if a guy calls, you try to support him. Today was a short total, we both wanted to go. We played really calculated. It was a good partnership, very nice,” added Travis Head.
