As uncertainty grows over the state of Ahmedabad’s pitch, interim captain Steve blacksmith he declares that Australia would resist “mind-boggling” suggestions of a switch to play three front-line rapids.

According to Steve Smith, Australia’s three slow bowlers have enough differences between them to collaborate well for the third game in a row.

“Everyone is different, but they all have a good knowledge of the game, a good understanding of what they’re trying to do and they think it’s been great that we’ve been able to play three spinners and show that we can do it effectively.” he said.

“We’ve had faith in what we’re trying to do and it’s good that we can show that we can play three spinners and win.”
