“Siraj was Virat’s biggest fan. After the first season in RCB, he came to me and said Sir, I want to be like Virat. I think it was the hunger in him; he had seen what Virat had achieved. So I told him that if you want to be like Virat, then like him, you will have to sacrifice many things.”
In 2017, Siraj made his debut for India during a T20I match against New Zealand, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Despite conceding 53 runs in four overs, Siraj earned Kohli’s admiration and respect.
