I don’t know why Prithi Shaw is not playing: Murali Vijay
Speaking particularly about Prithvi Shaw, he said he doesn’t know why the up-and-coming batsman isn’t playing for India. Shaw last played for India on the Sri Lanka tour in 2021. He was named in the Indian T20I squad for the New Zealand series earlier this year but was not given a game.
“I don’t know why he’s not playing now. You should ask the team management.” Vijay said.
KL Rahul should be left alone and not be examined: Murali Vijay
Vijay also had a suggestion for the KL fighter Rahul. After his continued struggle in the first two Tests against Australia, Rahul was dropped from the Indian XI and also dropped as Indian Vice-Captain in the Test matches. Shubman Gill took his place and made the most of his chance to score his second Test tonne in Ahmedabad.
“He knows what he is and what he needs to do to come back. I think KL should be left alone and not be scrutinized the way they’re doing right now. He happens to any cricketer. I think KL should take it easy and work on the basics and use this time to relax, rejuvenate and come back strong.” Vijay said about Rahul.
