Ahead of the Delhi Test, Karthik pointed out that Kohli’s recent problems against spins are due to the team playing a lot of cricket abroad and not playing as many spins in the subcontinent.

“You look back at the time where I’m sure he’s a better fast bowler than when he started. Maybe your game against spin is down a bit, but that’s okay and relatively understandable. You don’t play as many spinners when you travel abroad, you don’t play as much with good spinners, you would probably end up playing on the domestic circuit for more hours, even if you play on the subcontinent.” he said.
