Indian Cricket Team would be confidently booming after retaining the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This is the record fourth time that the Men in Blue have retained the BGT. Ravi Shastri has backed India to step up this time in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) after losing the final against New Zealand in the WTC 2019-21 final. Ravi Shastri It was all commendable for the Men in Blue.
Australia need to get their ‘A’ game back as India have depth in both the batting and bowling department. All eyes would be on captain Steven Smith (*3rd Test match), where the right-handed batsman has come under scrutiny for not performing to his standards.

Ravi Shastri on the WTC final
Ravi Shastri was interacting with ICC and was asked about BGT 2023 and WTC 2021-23.
“A 4-0 win here psychologically sends a strong signal to the opposition. There will be an impact but the conditions are different as Australia will get their fast bowlers back as many of them are injured. But that psychological dent will make India believe that, even in those conditions, they are good enough to outshine Australia. ” said Ravi Shastri.

Australian concerns
Head coach Andrew McDonald needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat since currently, hitters are clueless against spinners. The team may need to take session by session as we witnessed the Aussies lose 9 wickets in a single session in the second innings second Test match.
It seems unlikely that Matt Renshaw will get another chance as Cameron Green has been declared fit and is available for selection. The problem with the Aussies so far in the series has been that they have not rotated the strike due to allowing the bowlers to get under their skin. Hitters need to use their feet instead of playing sweep and reverse sweep shots.
