After losing the first wickets during their chase, it looked as though Delhi would lose the ball at one point, but Jess Jonassen along with Marizanne Kapp kept their nerves as the duo put together an unbeaten 45-run partnership for the fifth wicket to lead their team to the victory.

Australia’s multi-talented Jess Jonassen was on hand with the announcers as she received the Player of the Match award for her contribution. Jonassen spoke about her association with Marizanne Kapp and how the game was too similar for her liking.

“But domestically, I’m the finalist, it’s my job and it’s good to do it. The bowlers set it up and Capsey was on top. Happy with the two points. There were moments of nervousness for us. Delhi will be eagerly awaiting their reverse fixture against Mumbai Indians in hopes of adjusting the score against the franchise. However, the team will have to wait for their chance when they first face Gujarat Giants Women in their next match.
