Chris Jordan, England and Southern Brave pacer, has been ruled of the remainder of the Hundred 2022, it was announced on August 16, 2022. The speedster played three matches in the championship where he picked up three wickets at an economy rate of 8.50.

After taking part in the match against London Spirit, Jordan didn’t make it to the playing eleven against Oval Invincibles on August 14 at the Kennington Oval. His best figures of two for 16 came against the Welsh Fire on August 3.

Though the details of his injury have not been revealed, Jordan, suffered a blow to his finger against London Spirit and missed Brave’s clash with Oval Invincibles. This makes him the second Southern Brave fast bowler to be ruled out of the Hundred 2022, as before him left-arm pacer Tymal Mills succumbed to a toe injury on August 14.

The Southern Brave Struggled In The Ongoing The Hundred 2022

Jordan’s injury is a crucial blow to The Brave who have found it hard to get off the blocks thus far in the ongoing tournament. Though they have lost Jordan and Mills, they still have Craig Overton, James Fuller, George Garton, and Michael Hogan in their fast-bowling department. In total, Southern Brave have bowled seven different seamers across their four matches.

Though they started off their tournament with a thumping nine-wicket win over Welsh Fire, the team has lost three matches in a row. In their previous meeting, they lost to the Invincibles by seven wickets. Placed sixth in the points table, the Brave is next scheduled to lock horns with Manchester Originals on Thursday, August 18 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
